Capacity of the Hospital
We are a 75 bedded super-specialty hospital and as per the guidelines the minimum bed requirement is 50 for class B cities like Chandigarh.
Specialties
Ours is a multi-specialty ho0spital and we have all disciplines such as Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Obs. & Gynecology, Pediatrics, General Surgery and Urology as detailed in the guidelines applicable to Hospitals up to a capacity of 75 beds. Thus, you may kindly observe that we have multi-specialty facilities in our Hospital in addition to what has been prescribed in the general guidelines.
Functional requirements
Under these requirements, all the facilities as suggested in the general guidelines such as OPD, Indoor treatment, supported with basic diagnostic facilities, operation theatres and labour room facilities are available in our hospital. In fact, we have got OPD and indoor treatment facilities in respect of all disciplines as stated above and have got excellent laboratory facilities for diagnostic purposes. We have got eight full-fledged operation theatres, one labour room and one minor operation theatre equipped with most modern equipments.
Building and Space requirements
The hospital premises are built strictly according to the laws/guidelines of the Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA ) administration. Our hospital is having a covered area of more than 30,000 sq.ft. and the hospital building is equipped with the elevators. We have lavatory toilet facilities as prescribed in the general guidelines. As far as isolation arrangements for septic and infectious cases are concerned, we have got enough facilities to shift such patients to separate wards/ rooms. Nurse's duty rooms are available on all floors/wards. A very spacious labour room and operations theatre are available to take care of any emergent situation. We have got a DG Set set installed in the hospital to meet any emergency requirement in case of power failure.
Man Power
The hospital has got a team of 225 qualified, experienced & dedicated medical, Para Medical Staff. The team consists of specialists, Senior Consultants, Senior Resident, Resident Medical Officers, Technicians, and trained Nursing Staff and other supporting staff. For your kind information, we are enclosing herewith a detailed list containing names of doctors available in each specialty. We have got round the clock coverage by Senior Residents (M.D's) and Resident Medical Officers (MBBS) to take care of any emergency.
Instruments/Equipments
As stated earlier, our hospital has got excellent diagnostic facilities with all requisite modern equipments to carry out any type of diagnostic investigation. A list of major equipments available is attached for your ready reference as per annexure.
Emergency and Ambulance Services
In our hospital, we provide free ambulance services and round the clock emergency and trauma services.
Operation Theatre Facilities
As explained earlier, we have eight full-fledged operation theatres equipped with all modern equipments.9)Claim under consumer Protection Act. We hereby confirm that no case/claim under consumer protection act is however been filed against our hospital by any body and our record in this respect in absolutely clean.
Private O.P.D.
In this evening, we have private OPD which runs from 4.00 to 7.00 P.M. in the evening daily and 10.00 to 1.00 P.M. is run only on Sunday's. Appointment facility is also available in the Private OPD.
Membership
People who want to become the members of the hospital; have to donate a minimum amount of Rs.100/- per month.
After two years of regular membership, we give a membership card to the patient. On the basis of this membership card a member can avail the facility of 20% discount on type of treatment except few.
SMART CARD (New Addition)
This is just like a credit card. Initially, we have started this card only for glaucoma. Actually, in this card all the data is stored for the patient and when the patient visit the doctor; his previous data is read by the doctor with the help of Smart Card which is attached to the computer. Later on, the doctor in the Smart Card stores the latest data.
Advance PHACO Training Research Institute
This is a training institute. In this institute; training is given to doctors for Phaco-emulsification (cataract surgery) coming from all over India. This is a fifteen days i.e. short tern fellowship course and we charge Rs.25000/- for the whole course. This we started in January, 2000.Till date; we have imparted trainings to 30 doctors.
Eye Bank
We have our own eye bank associated with L.V.Prasad Eye Institute Hyderabad.
Charity
In routine, hospital does charity for 30% to 40% of the patients. Hospital's main aim is that none of the patients shall go back without treatment just because of money.
Average O.P.D. & Operations
In routine, we have approximately 300-350 patients visiting the hospital daily. In total; we take up 20-25 operations daily for the various types of ailments of the eye. |
